Bird-lovers may want to wing it over to two events at the Northwest Flower & Garden Show next week.
On Thursday, Peter E. Punzi will provide a hands-on demonstration on constructing a birdhouse for insect-eating birds. Handouts with instructions for creating a birdhouse at home will be provided. "Birdhouse Building for Gardeners" will be offered at 5:45 p.m. on the D.I.Y. Stage.
On Feb. 17, Linda Beutler, a contributing editor for Birdwatcher's Digest, will talk on creating a bird habitat in the garden. "Gardening is for the Birds" will be at 2:15 p.m. in the Hood Room.
