Mission update

The clean lines of Frank Lloyd Wright's Oak Barrel Chair get an update with microfiber upholstery ($999).

Copeland Furniture, the exclusive licensee for manufacturing the Frank Lloyd Wright Furniture Collection, introduced designs focusing on Wright's Prairie Period (1899-1910) at the High Point furniture show last month. Other pieces in the collection include the Dana Thomas dining set (10-seat table, $5,499; side chair, $899; and arm chair, $1,099), as well as upholstery, occasional tables and a bedroom group.

The collection will be in stores by late summer.

Tufted and shirred

If a touch of whimsy is more your thing, pull up the La Salona Accent Chair from Laneventure ($1,309). The smaller-scale chair features shirred borders, button tufting, a scalloped skirt, crisp welts and fluted legs. It was created by Mimi McMakin and Brooke Hutting from Kemble Interiors.
