On the last night of pro soccer in soccer-crazy Seattle, the fight to be called champion of Major League Soccer came down to penalty kicks after 120 minutes of full-field action. Above, fans go wild after Real Salt Lake successfully makes a shootout goal. Real Salt Lake won the match 1-1 (5-4 on penalties).

A woman was stabbed by a man who approached her from behind near Northwest 90th Street and Holman Road Northwest, police said. She was listed in stable condition.
