EVERETT — Reid Petryk scored the go-ahead goal and Kent Simpson made 41 saves as the Everett Silvertips beat the Vancouver Giants 4-2 Saturday night at Comcast Arena.
Cody Fowlie had a goal and two assists for Everett (15-32-1-8), Jari Erricson had a goal and an assist, and Josh Birkholz also scored. Neil Manning and David Musil scored for Vancouver (32-21-1-2).
Everett next plays Friday at home against Portland.
Portland 7, at Seattle 2
Cam Reid scored a hat trick as the Winterhawks thrashed the Thunderbirds at ShoWare Center.
Ty Rattie's goal gave Portland (37-15-2-1) a 6-1 lead late in the second period, and Seattle (19-34-1-1) pulled goaltender Calvin Pickard.
Burke Gallimore and Luke Lockhart scored for the Thunderbirds. Seattle next plays Tuesday night at home against Kelowna.
