Kelowna rallies for 5-4 win over Everett, evens series 3-3 | WHL playoffs

Kelowna scores goals 22 seconds apart in third period to force Game 7 Monday night in Everett

KELOWNA, B.C. — The Kelowna Rockets scored two third-period goals to rally for a 5-4 victory over the Everett Silvertips and even the best-of-seven series at three games apiece.

Game 7 will be at 7:05 p.m. Monday at Comcast Arena. The winner advances to the Western Conference semifinals.

Scott MacDonald, Daniel Iwanski, Byron Froese and Shane Harper scored for Everett. Kent Simpson made 30 saves for the Silvertips.

Trailing 3-1 in the second period, Everett scored three goals, two on back-to-back power plays.

Tyson Barrie tied the score at 9:11 of the third period. Lucas Bloodoff scored just 22 seconds later, beating Simpson on a wraparound goal.
