Western Hockey League | Thunderbirds overcome flu and Lethbridge

Goalie Kyle Jahraus made 35 saves Friday night to lead the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 4-3 Western Hockey League victory over the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Six T-birds were scratches due to the flu.

LETHBRIDGE, Alberta — Goalie Kyle Jahraus made 35 saves Friday night to lead the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 4-3 Western Hockey League victory over the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Six T-birds were scratches due to the flu.

Jonathan Parker put Seattle in front 20 seconds into the first period when he put in a rebound for his seventh goal of the year. The T-birds went ahead 2-1 at 9:24 of the first on a four-on-four goal by Mikhail Sentyurin.

Seattle (4-10-0-2) went in front 3-1 on a power-play goal by Brendan Rouse at 11:46 of the second period. Two minutes later Seattle extended the lead to 4-1 with another power-play goal as Brad Haber put in a rebound.
