Silvertips | Everett defeats Winter Hawks

PORTLAND — Lukas Vartovnik scored on a power play at 3:03 of the first period to lead the Everett Silvertips over the Portland Winter Hawks 2-1 in Western Hockey League play Friday night.
Clayton Bauer scored the other goal for Everett (39-25-0-3). Colin Reddin countered for Portland with a power-play goal.
Silvertips goalie Shayne Barrie made 31 saves.
