PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — Greg Scott scored a natural hat trick Wednesday night to lead the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 5-2 Western Hockey League win over the Prince George Cougars.

Scott scored all three goals in the second period and all consecutively.

The T-birds improved to 38-21-5-2 and remain in fourth place in the Western Conference. They are four points ahead of No. 5 Everett and five points ahead of the sixth-place Kelowna Rockets. The top four teams in the conference get home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
