PORTLAND — Bud Holloway scored two goals and the Seattle Thunderbirds fired 72 shots against hapless Portland in a 4-0 Western Hockey League victory Saturday night.
The Winter Hawks (9-44-1-1) managed just 22 shots and were blanked by T-birds goaltender Riku Helenius.
Holloway got the game's first goal at 13:09 of the third period. Isak Quakenbush scored three minutes later, and Holloway got an empty-net goal. Charles Wells scored in the closing seconds for Seattle (26-18-5-2).
Winter Hawks goaltender Jordan White made 68 saves.
The T-birds' next game is Wednesday night against Kamloops at KeyArena.
