PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — Dan Gendur scored the only goal of the overtime shootout, leading the Everett Silvertips to a 5-4 win Thursday over Prince George in a Western Hockey League game.
Everett (29-20-0-2) had allowed the Cougars to tie the score at 4 with 42 seconds left in the third period after taking the lead 1 minute, 10 seconds earlier on Shane Harper's second goal of the game.
The Silvertips, who have won six in a row, next play the Thunderbirds on Saturday at KeyArena.
