Some girls basketball teams are just winding down the regular season. Others have already started the playoffs.

I'll start with highlights from the regular-season games reported to The Times Monday, then jump to the playoffs.

Kentwood 46, Auburn Riverside 44

The Conquerors pulled into a second-place tie in the SPSL 4A North Division by knocking off the seventh-ranked Ravens, who owed their only other two in-state losses to No. 1 Mount Rainier. Kentwood and Riverside play a tiebreaker game Wednesday at Auburn at 6 p.m. to determine seeding into the SPSL tournament. Kentwood, which outscored AR 18-6 in the final quarter, got the bulk of its scoring from Jenny Johnson (15), Sarah Toeaina (15) and Kate Kramer (10). Karina Gee led Riverside with 10.

Spanaway Lake 67, Emerald Ridge 54

The Jaguars, who dropped out of the state rankings just this week. lost for the second time in three games. Nneka Nnadi went off for 23 points to lead the Sentinels, who also got key scoring contributions from Raina Frazier (14), LeAnne Willingham (14) and Chelsea Padgett (11). For ER, Taylor Buie finished with 17 and Kayla Frank added 11.

Auburn 48, Kent-Meridian 40

The Trojans pulled into a three-way to for the fifth and final playoff playoff spot in the SPSL North with Jefferson and Tahoma. Mine-tiebreaker games are set for Wednesday. Sienna Pollard (16) and Anna deCarteret (11) paced the Trojans. K-M's Aubreyana Anderson poured in 18.

Kentlake 45, Tahoma 44

The Falcons got 13 points from Stephanie Luce and 12 from Alyssa Simonson to finish the season on a high note. Jordan Eberhardt did her part for Tahoma with 23 and Chardonae Miller added 10.

Renton 48, Kennedy Catholic 37

Taylor Farris and Priscilla Tuiasosopo tossed in 15 apiece for the Seamount League champs. Kennedy, playing without leading scorer Myah Williams (injured), was outscored 13-1 in the third period. Kelsey Abrejera (13) and Diondre Bourgette (12) led the Lancers.

Seattle Christian 44, Charles Wright 16

Katie Collier was the spark with 14 points.

Crosspoint Academy 50, Rainier Christian 23

Desere'e Doty was the difference with 20 points. Rainier Christian got 11 from Hailey Wiest.

Grace Academy 42, Highland Christian Prep 38

Kyla Emme led the way with 13 points. Highland Christian got 16 from Esther Brown and 14 from Amy Zimmerman.

Metro League Tournament

Nathan Hale 68, Chief Sealth 43

Hale's Gabby Evans (26) and Angel Tulee (23) were a powerful 1-2 punch. Victoria Elleby hit for 23 for Sealth in the loser-out contest.

Liberty 60, Mercer Island 40

Aspen Winegar (16) and Sierra Carlson (13) helped keep Liberty's season alive.

Bellevue 58, Mount Si 43

Bellevue eliminated the Wildcats behind the scoring efforts of Katie Savard (22), Kate Holmes (17) and Shelby Fanning (10). Mount Si had two players in double figures -- Shelby Peerboom (13) and Jordan Riley (10).
