I was at Lower Woodland Park for the final day of the Sea-King District 3A softball tournament Thursday and saw some great games.

If you missed it, you can read my story here. I included highlights from the semifinal and championship games, as well as the game for third and fourth places.

But I didn't get a chance to see get include any information on Bellevue's two victories, so want to touch on those. In the 5-0 win over West Seattle, Lisa Bennett had a pair of hits and two RBI and Emily Fleischman struck out nine while allowing just three hits. Then Bennett keyed a 12-2 victory over Bishop Blanchet that sent the Wolverines to state. She went 4-for-4 with a home run and two doubles, driving in four. Katie Savard collected three hits and four RBI, while Kaitlyn Melby tripled twice.

On to highlights reported from other tournament games Thursday:

KingCo 4A Tournament

Before I get to the highlights, I wanted to make sure you knew Ballard earned the No. 3 seed and will play ninth-ranked Arlington, the No. 3 WesCo qualifier, in a winner-to-state, loser-out game Saturday at 2 p.m. at Ballard's home field.

Woodinville 9, Eastlake 3

Solo home runs by Kayla O'Ferrell and Katie Engelbrecht highlighted a 10-hit attack by the top-ranked Falcons. MaKenna Weir (2-for-4, 2B, 3 RBI) and Lauren Burchak (2-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI) also made key contributions. No. 5 Eastlake got two hits from Sammi Stavig, including a double. Both teams had already clinched state berths.

Bothell 2, Redmond 1 (8 innings)

Kelsey Morgan went 2-for-4 for the Cougars, while Redmond's Natalie Roberts was 3-for-3.

Newport 4, Bothell 3

Kayla Reynolds struck out 12 and Bridget Raftery sparked the offense with a home run and two RBI. Kaitlin Sahlinger added a double and single, driving in one. Bothell's Rhianna Bennett had a double.

Ballard 6, Newport 1

Karissa Marshall went 3-for-3 and drove in three runs to lead the way. Bernie Cardon contributed a two-run double, while Jamie Thelen also doubled and drove in a run.

District 1 4A Tournament

Jackson 1, Marysville-Pilchuck 0

Lindsay Robison was the hero, ripping a solo home run in the fourth inning and throwing a two-hitter in the upset victory over the third-ranked Tomahawks. Riley Fritz took the loss despite allowing just three hits.

Arlington 2, Monroe 1

Arlington 1, Cascade 0

No details reported. The Eagles earned the No. 3 seed to advance to the pigtail game against Ballard.
