Well, the season opens Thursday and all of our preview stories have been posted, so here are our Class 4A and 3A preseason high-school football rankings.

Class 4A

1. Skyline (Sammamish)

Kasen Williams tries to end his career as a four-time champion.

2. Bothell

Cougars’ inexperienced seniors expected to deliver quickly.

3. Auburn

Standout Danny Shelton will help clear the way for talented running backs.

4. Gonzaga Prep (Spokane)

Prospects Bishop Sankey (RB) and Charlie Hopkins (OL/DE) power the Bullpups.

5. Curtis (University Place)

Rahmel Dockery is a big-play producer for the Vikings.

6. Skyview (Vancouver)

Prime prospect Ellis Henderson was the GSHL’s defensive player of the year in ’09.

7. Ferris (Spokane)

Ferris lost a lot, but deep playoff runs have allowed Saxons to develop talent.

8. Issaquah

Can the Eagles knock the Spartans off their KingCo 4A Crest Division perch?

9. Gig Harbor

Tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins leads the way for talented Tides.

10. Union

Titans are replacing key seniors and jump to 4A, but will remain in the hunt.

Keep an eye on: Central Valley, Davis, Eastlake, Eisenhower, Graham-Kapowsin, Kentridge, Kentwood, Lake Stevens, Mead, Olympia, Richland, Rogers, South Kitsap.

Class 3A

There’s a reason Wolverines have won seven of nine state titles.

Patriots’ seniors aiming for championship after last year’s run to title game.

3. Camas

Papermakers looking to make some noise in classification that’s wide open.

4. O’Dea

Irish replacing key pieces, but always finds a way into preseason conversation.

5. Lakes (Lakewood)

Don’t count out Lancers, even with a younger team.

6. Timberline (Lacey)

It’s going to be a sprint to the finish for speedy Blazers.

7. Enumclaw

Hornets will be tested early against Union, Timberline and Capital.

8. Kamiakin (Kennewick)

A 4A playoff team in 2009, the Braves look to make a run in 3A this year.

9. Capital (Olympia)

Lots of talent coming back in first senior class to spend four years with J.D. Johnson.

10. Ferndale

Last year’s adversity should pay dividends in 2010 for Golden Eagles.

Keep an eye on: Bonney Lake, Glacier Peak, Juanita, Kennedy Catholic, Meadowdale, Mount Si, Mount Spokane, Peninsula, Seattle Prep, University.
