Boys lacrosse championships set for this weekend

SEATTLE – The 2010 Washington Boys High School State Championships for lacrosse take place, Saturday, May 29 at Seattle’s Memorial Stadium near the Seattle Center.
In the Division I championship game, the winner of Wednesday’s Bellevue, Bainbridge semifinal (7 p.m. at Bainbridge High School) takes-on the winner of Wednesday’s Issaquah, Mercer Island semifinal (8 p.m. at Mercer Island High School).
Bellevue (13-1-0 / 17-3-0) finished the regular season in 2nd place of the Northeast Conference, while Bainbridge (11-3-0 / 12-8-0) was the co-champion of the Southwest Conference. The defending state champions, Issaquah (12-2-0 / 16-4-0) finished 3rd in the Northeast Conference, while undefeated Mercer Island (14-0-0 / 19-0-0) finished the regular season as champion of the Northeast Conference.
In the Division II championship game, the winner of Wednesday’s Lynnwood, Wenatchee semifinal (5 p.m. at Wenatchee Valley College) takes-on the winner of Wednesday’s San Juan, Lake Washington semifinal (7:30 p.m. at Lake Washington High School in Kirkland).
Lynnwood (11-2-0 / 12-3-0) finished the regular season as co-champion of the Cascade Conference, while Wenatchee (12-0-0 / 13-1-0) is the Eastern Conference champion. San Juan (11-2-0 / 11-2-0) finished the season as the Skagit Conference champion, while Lake Washington (13-0-0 / 13-2-0) finished as Evergreen Conference champion.
On Saturday, May 29, the Division II title game gets underway at 5 p.m., while the Division I title game starts at 7:30 p.m.
The full-day of lacrosse events includes a 5th / 6th Grade Boys Regional Honor game at 11 a.m., 7th / 8th Grade Boys Regional All-Star game at 12 noon, Boys Division II All-Star game at 1 p.m. and Boys Division I All-Star game at 2:30 p.m.
Individual tickets for the full day are $8 and available at the gate.
