'Coach Albo Day' at Newport High School

The Newport High School baseball team is honoring former coach Bob Albo on April 30th when Issaquah plays at Newport. It will "Coach Albo Day" at the ballpark.

Albo will throw out the first pitch and, at the conclusion of the game, there will be a brief ceremony to present Albo with several awards and gifts.

Newport graduate and former Major League pitcher Scott Anderson will MC the ceremony. There are currently 44 former players who will be at the game and dinner including two former Major League pitchers, Anderson and Mike Campbell.

In addition to the events at the game, a dinner is planned for more than 130 guests at the Newport Hills Pool Clubhouse.
