The Seattle Times preseason all-state football team
Posted by Tom Wyrwich
For two weeks, this list was constantly in flux. That's the problem in a year like this, with too much talent and only so many spots (and this is not the kind of publication that puts 40 kids on an all-state team). But finally, we have settled on these 25 players for The Seattle Times' preseason all-state team.
In the high school football preview, which runs next week in the print edition, I will elaborate a bit more on why each player was selected. Several great players -- to name a few: Ferris QB Connor Halliday, Bethel DL Happy Iona, Eisenhower LB Seth Kline, O'Dea FB Zach Fogerson, Glacier Peak OL/DL John Froland -- were left off, and this list says nothing about them and everything about the quality of talent in Washington this season.
