Class 4A
Jeff Helmer, Jackson boys cross country : Helmer, a senior, won the state championship, finishing 3.1 miles in 15 minutes, 40 seconds, 11 seconds faster than the runner-up.
Mackenzie Barney, Skyline girls soccer : Barney, a sophomore midfielder, scored in the 89th minute of a 1-0 overtime victory over Woodinville in the KingCo 4A tournament.
Class 3A
Luke Fowler, R.A. Long football : Fowler broke his father's 25-year-old school record for season touchdown receptions with two in a loss to Black Hills. Fowler, a senior, had 10 catches for 234 yards.
Sabrina Hoeks, Black Hills volleyball : Hoeks piled up 98 kills in four matches, including 32 — one short of the school record — in one match. She also had 57 digs and was 48 of 52 on serves, with 14 aces.
Class 2A
David Walker, Othello football : In his first varsity start at running back, Walker carried 22 times for 143 yards and three touchdowns against Ephrata.
Arrow Tallman, Kiona-Benton volleyball : Tallman was 24 of 24 from the service line with five aces, and added 24 assists, four kills and three blocks in a district-tournament match.
Class 1A

Charles Wright boys cross country : The senior, who was fourth last year, won the state title by one second, covering 3.1 miles in 16:36.
Jane Larson, Cedar Park Christian girls cross country : Larson won her second consecutive 1A/B state championship, winning by 25 seconds in 19:22.
Class B
Daniel Westra, Mount Vernon Christian boys soccer : Westra scored six goals in two games, then scored another in a tiebreaker game against Orcas Island to help the Hurricanes secure a state-tournament berth.
Sarah Crossfield, Pomeroy volleyball : Crossfield helped the Pirates win a district title with 28 kills, 27 blocks and a 51-of-53 performance from the service line.
