WIAA/Seattle Times State Athletes of the Week
Class 4A
Paul Senescal, Mead (Spokane) football : Senescal, a 6-foot-1, 209-pound senior who has committed to Idaho, had 18 tackles, including four for losses, and two sacks in the fourth-ranked Panthers' victory over West Valley of Spokane.
Bridget Crowley, Port Angeles girls swimming : In a meet against Bainbridge, Crowley, a junior, broke a 14-year-old school record in the 200-yard freestyle (1 minute, 55.77 seconds), and broke her year-old school mark in the 100 free (53.93).
Class 3A
Joey Monoian, Wapato football : Monoian gained 216 yards on 27 carries, including a 90-yard touchdown run, in a victory over Toppenish. He also had four sacks and was in on 17 tackles, including two for losses.
Amanda Johnson, Cedarcrest girls soccer : Johnson, a junior midfielder, had three goals and three assists in an 8-0 victory over Sultan, and followed with two goals and an assist in a 4-0 win against Lakewood.
Class 2A
Adam Bighill, Montesano football : Bighill ran for 328 yards and four touchdowns as the fourth-ranked Bulldogs stayed unbeaten with a victory over Hoquiam.
Michaela Dudder, Granite Falls volleyball : Dudder helped the Tigers win their first match this season, 3-1 over Lakewood, with 18 kills, three stuff blocks and four aces. She was 20 for 20 serving.
Class 1A
Calvin Schmidtke, Life Christian football : The 5-10, 150-pound sophomore completed 25 of 32 passes for 304 yards and three touchdowns to lead the 4-1 Eagles to a win over Vashon Island.
Natalie Lomax, Bellevue Christian volleyball : The Vikings' senior had 24 kills, 13 blocks, seven aces and six digs to help Bellevue Christian win a pair of matches.

Class B
Kyle Kautz, Taholah football : Kautz accounted for eight touchdowns, completing 19 of 25 passes for 526 yards and seven touchdowns and running for a score in the Chitwhins' first eight-man victory this season, 60-14 over Crescent.
Staci Ansotigue, Christian Faith volleyball : Ansotigue, a junior, led the Eagles to victories over King's West and Summit with a combined eight kills, 31 assists, 10 digs and 14 aces. Against Summit, she served 11 straight points, including eight aces.
The WIAA/Seattle Times State Athletes of the Week are selected by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association and The Seattle Times from nominations by athletic directors around the state.
