WIAA state athletes of the week
State Athletes of the Week for Jan. 29-Feb. 4, selected by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association from nominations by athletic directors.

Class 4A
Kadyn Del Toro, Curtis wrestling: Del Toro, a senior, won the SPSL 4A South subregional championship at 195 pounds and was named Wrestler of the Year in the division.
Wylicia Faley, Battle Ground bowling: Faley won the state championship with a six-game total of 1,236 pins (206 average). She had four games of 200 or more.
Class 3A
Peter Johnson, Bishop Blanchet wrestling: Johnson, a senior, pinned all three opponents at 195 pounds and was named Most Outstanding Wrestler in the Metro League tournament.
Karissa Shiflet, Kennewick bowling: Shiflet, a junior, won the 3A/2A state championship with a six-game total of 1,209 pins (201.5 average).
Class 2A
Colton Frost, Eatonville wrestling: The Cruisers' junior pinned all four opponents en route to the 113-pound title at the SPSL 2A subdistrict tournament.
Megan Kelly, Kingston gymnastics: Kelly, a sophomore, scored a personal-best 8.2 on floor, and turned in a 6.9 on beam and 5.95 on bars at the Olympic/Narrows subdistrict meet.
Class 1A
Joe Townsend, Okanogan basketball: Townsend, a senior, had 29 points, 11 rebounds, one assist, a steal and a block against Tonasket. Against Chelan, he had 32 points, 14 boards, two steals and an assist. He shot 27 of 40 from the field in the two games.
No girls nominated.
Class 2B
Andrew Hamilton, Raymond basketball: Hamilton, a junior, had two double-doubles and just missed a third in victories over Northwest Christian (Lacey), Ocosta and Willapa Valley. He averaged 13 points and 12 rebounds to help the Gulls clinch the Pacific League championship.
No girls nominated.
Class 1B
Damian Loucks, Rosalia basketball: Loucks, a senior, scored 23 and 31 points in back-to-back nights against Garfield-Palouse and Lacrosse/Washtucna. He shot 19 of 31 from the field and was 9 of 14 behind the three-point arc.
Hayley Tymony, Christian Faith basketball: Tymony, a junior, knocked down three three-pointers to lead her team with 11 points in one game.
