Cassidy Nangle
Liberty, F, Sr.
Oklahoma-bound senior had 16 goals, six assists to lead Patriots to a school-best Class 3A state runner-up finish. Four-year starter was a three-year All-KingCo 3A/2A selection.
Lindsey Dahl
Jefferson, F, Sr.
A big target with speed, Dahl is a nightmare to defend. She led all area players with 28 goals, finishing her four-year career with 57. Also plays basketball and is a heptathlete in track.
Cara Wegner
Jackson, F, Sr.
Oregon verbal commit had 12 goals and eight assists despite defenses designed to stop her. Team captain and four-year all-league selection finished with 53 career goals and 37 assists.
Alisa Sagdahl
Meadowdale, F, Sr.
A physical presence with a strong left foot, Sagdahl helped the Mavericks to an 18-5-0 record and state semifinal appearance. Had 25 goals, four assists and scored twice in dramatic, 4-3 first-round playoff win over Bonney Lake.
Audrey Thomas
Issaquah, MF, Jr.
KingCo 4A MVP delivered 10 goals, 11 assists for a team that lost 1-0 in conference title match to eventual state champ Skyline. Only 5 feet, she plays with courage and has great quickness and speed.
Brie Hooks
Tahoma, MF, Jr.
Despite frequent double teams, the creative junior had nine goals and an eye-popping 26 assists for a team that placed third at state. Missed final weekend of playoffs to participate in Olympic Development Program in Florida.
Sarah Coluccio
Seattle Prep, MF, Sr.
All-Metro pick helped Panthers to back-to-back 3A state titles. Can be a playmaker from midfield or push forward and score. Has solid left foot on corner kicks and free kicks. Second-team all-state as junior.
Laura Rayfield
Kentlake, D, Sr.
Versatile Oregon State recruit was a shutdown defender and still found time to contribute nine goals, three assists. Two-time division MVP was "absolutely the best all-around player in SPSL North," said an opposing coach.
Sara Bindl
Kentwood, D, Sr.
Three-year starter anchored defense that gave up just eight goals. Kentwood recorded 45 shutouts and won a state title (2010) and finished third (2009) in Bindl's three years in lineup.
Kalynn Huebner
Seattle Prep, D, Sr.
Metro Mountain MVP played sweeper and keyed a defense that limited opponents to seven goals in first 20 matches on way to second consecutive state championship. She also scored 12 goals, including one each in semifinal and title games.
Tina Vargas
Skyline, GK, Sr.
Put up 11 shutouts and made spectacular saves in four shutout playoff victories for state-champion Spartans. Makes excellent decisions challenging would-be scorers and has superb timing. Made seven saves in 1-0 win over Bellarmine Prep for state title.
Scott Brayton
Eastside Catholic coach
Fifth-year coach guided Crusaders to 13-7-5 record and school's first state trophy, a third-place finish. Eastside Catholic, which opened in 1974, hadn't won a game at state in two previous appearances. Crusaders outscored foes 42-20 with 11 shutouts, including eight by keeper Lauren "Nemo" Thomas.
