Class 4A

Everette Deveaux, Curtis football: Deveaux, a junior, had 260 total yards in a 51-14 win over Emerald Ridge, including 20 carries for 125 yards and four touchdowns and three receptions for 118 yards and a TD.

Lanesha Reagan, Snohomish volleyball: The sophomore outside hitter racked up 104 kills, 45 digs, 10 aces and eight blocks, helping the Panthers to a pair of WesCo victories and the championship of the Bearcat Invitational in Monroe.

Class 3A

Ryan Books, Seattle Prep golf: Books, a senior, had rounds of 4-under 68 at Jefferson Park and 5-under 67 at West Seattle GC to run away with the Metro League championship by 13 strokes.

Molly Manca, Bishop Blanchet volleyball: Manca, a senior, had 88 kills in 21 sets for the week. She had 20 kills and 25 aces against Bainbridge and 10 aces and 36 digs against Holy Names.

Class 2A

Zach Mohr, Deer Park football: The Stags' senior accounted for 20 points in a 34-21 win over West Valley (Spokane). He had five catches for 58 yards and a touchdown, kicked two field goals (33 and 21 yards) and two extra points and intercepted two passes, returning one 30 yards for a TD.

Meghan Ward, W.F. West soccer: Ward, a junior, scored five goals against Tumwater and three against Aberdeen.

Class 1A

Austin Johnson, Kalama football: The Chinooks' junior carried 10 times for 233 yards with four touchdowns and made nine solo tackles (two for losses) in a 53-27 victory over White Salmon.

Emma Wilcox, Naches soccer: Wilcox, a senior, had a goal and assisted on seven others in three league wins by the Rangers.

Class 2B

Karl Muelheims, Saint George's soccer: Muelheims, a senior, netted 10 goals and had three assists in three wins. He had a four-goal game to help the Dragons clinch the league championship.

Ashley Shaw, Seattle Lutheran soccer: Shaw, a senior, totaled nine goals and two assists in victories over Evergreen Lutheran and Life Christian.

Class 1B

Josh Straughan, Colton football: Straughan, a senior, completed 29 of 40 passes for 407 yards and five touchdowns in a 56-48 overtime win over Liberty Christian. Colton trailed by 28 points before rallying. Straughan also rushed for 138 yards and three TDs.

Katrice Pond, Christian Faith volleyball: Pond, a freshman, led her team past Mount Rainier Lutheran with 10 aces, six kills, four digs and a block. She also put away 36 kills and had 29 digs, 20 aces, three assists and 1.5 blocks at the Anacortes Invitational.

State Athletes of the Week are selected by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association and The Seattle Times from nominations by athletic directors.
