Federal Way boys basketball
Dickerson, a 6-foot-7 senior, has turned into a scoring machine for the top-ranked, unbeaten Eagles. He tallied more than 30 points in each of their three wins last week (35, 34, 33) to raise his season average to 25.5, which ranks No. 1 in the area.

Stern, a junior, scored an impressive 37.15 to easily win the all-around competition at the Washington Open Winter Invitational and lead the Beavers to the team crown. She took home three individual titles as well with a 9.65 on floor exercise, 9.3 on vault and 9.15 on the uneven parallel bars. She also scored a 9.05 on the balance beam.
Mercer Island boys swim team
The Islanders, coached by Chauntelle Johnson, amassed 829.5 points to run away with the team title at the Kentridge Invitational, nearly doubling Kamiak's second-place total (415.5). MI won two relays and got a pair of individual victories from Ian Fist (200 freestyle, 100 free).
