Class 4A
Rahmel Dockery, Curtis football: Dockery, a junior, totaled 353 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns in a 42-22 playoff win over Wilson. He caught four passes for 134 yards and returned three punts for 186 yards, including a 92-yard TD return.
Anna Dailey, Garfield cross country: Dailey won the state championship with the fastest girls time for all classifications, finishing 3.1 miles in 17 minutes, 58 seconds.
Class 3A
Typhis Cochran, Lynnwood football: Cochran carried 26 times for 264 yards and three touchdowns in a 32-10 win over Shorewood.
Emilie Kaufman, Juanita swimming: Kaufman won district titles in the 50-yard freestyle and 100 breaststroke and swam on two winning relays. She is seeded first in the 50 free and 100 breast at the state meet this week.
Class 2A
Tyler Williams, Burlington-Edison cross country: Williams led the Tigers to their third state title in four years, finishing third in 16:01.
Ruby Roberts, Kingston cross country: Roberts won the state title in 18:06, helping her team place second.
Class 1A
Curtis Clauson, King's football: Clauson scored five touchdowns in a 42-15 win over Friday Harbor. He had three catches (all for touchdowns) for 88 yards, returned a fumble 69 yards for a TD and had a 43-yard interception return for a score. Clauson also made seven solo tackles.
Maddie Meyers, Northwest School cross country: The sophomore repeated as state champion, winning in 18:01 to break her 1A course record by 52 seconds. She finished 1:36 ahead of the runner-up.

Class 2B
Blaine Wagner, Oroville football: Wagner had 10 solo tackles, four assisted tackles, two sacks and recovered a fumble in a 21-18 win over Soap Lake.
Morgan Wilson, Colfax cross country: Wilson, a sophomore, won the 2B/1B state title in 18:36.
Class 1B
Trey Kitchens, Lyle-Wishram football: The sophomore intercepted four passes, returning one for a TD in a 62-12 victory. He also made four tackles.
Sarah Landstrom, King's Way Christian volleyball: The Knights freshman accumulated 26 aces, 94 attacks, 20 kills and 53 digs in three matches.
The WIAA/Seattle Times State Athletes of the Week are selected by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association and The Seattle Times from nominations by athletic directors around the state.
