Seattle Times Stars of the Week
Brian Noebel of Bishop Blanchet, Rachel Kim of Beamer and the Kentwood girls soccer team are stars of the week for Oct. 18-24.

Beamer girls swimming
Kim a junior, won her two individual events and was part of the Titans' two winning relays as they won the SPSL 4A championship. Kim took the 100 butterfly in 59.94 seconds and the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.44. Beamer, which won the 200 medley and 200 free relays, piled up 174 points.

Noebel, a senior, was instrumental in the Braves' first victory of the season, 17-14 over Bainbridge. He intercepted three passes, returning one 70 yards for a touchdown, and kicked the winning field goal from 42 yards in the fourth quarter. Noebel, a first-year player, also booted and recovered an onside kick and kicked two PATs.
Kentwood girls soccer team
The Conquerors, coached by Aaron Radford, posted 1-0 victories over Auburn, Tahoma and Kentlake to remain unbeaten in the SPSL 4A North at 11-0-3. Junior goalkeeper Courtney Johnson recorded all three shutouts, bringing her season total to 13.
