Jake Bainton
Liberty football
Bainton, a junior receiver/defensive back, shook off an illness to lead the Patriots past Woodinville, 35-14. He caught six passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns and intercepted two passes. Bainton finished with 253 all-purpose yards and punted four times for a 34.5-yard average.
Lani Beadle
Seattle Prep volleyball
Beadle, a senior libero, played outstanding defense as the third-ranked Panthers won the Adidas Invitational at Auburn Mountainview. She piled up 83 digs for the day, a 4.8 per-game average, and had 22 in Prep's four-game victory over Garfield.
Cascade boys cross-country team
Coach Steve Bertrand's Bruins won the Edmonds Invitational with a combined time of 59 minutes, 44 seconds — 1:05 faster than second-place Lake Stevens. Junior Aaron Campbell won his flight in 11:25. Senior Dylan Hopper ran 11:22, good for third in another flight.
