Boys

Tony Wroten Jr.

Garfield, guard,

6-5, So.

In a season that included an ankle injury and drama surrounding his enrollment, Wroten shrugged it off and led KingCo 4A in points (17.6) and assists (4.9) per game. The two-time Star Times honoree led Garfield to an undefeated KingCo 4A season and a berth in this week's state tournament. He is one of the highest-ranked sophomores in the country by national recruiting services.

Aaron Bright

Bellevue, guard,

5-11, Jr.

One of the area's best shooters made the transition to a pass-first point guard and led Bellevue to an undefeated KingCo 3A season. He averaged 15.2 points and led the conference with 5.3 assists per game. He was named Most Valuable Player by KingCo 3A coaches.

Peyton Siva

Franklin, guard,

6-1, Sr.

The first Seattle-area McDonald's All-American in three years, Siva averaged more than 19 points and five assists this season to lead Franklin to the Metro League's regular season and tournament championships. Rated as one of the country's top five point guards, the Star Times repeat selection has signed with Louisville.

Joshua Smith

Kentwood, center,

6-9, Jr.

Considered the top junior prospect in the country by some scout services, the 16-year-old Smith averages nearly 25 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks despite double- and triple-teaming. The 280-pound SPSL 4A North MVP, who shoots 77 percent from the field, can pick from multiple scholarship offers.

Gary Bell

Kentridge, guard,

6-1, So.

The only returning starter from a team that reached the Class 4A state tournament last year, Bell made the Chargers contenders again by averaging nearly 19 points, four rebounds and four steals while drawing extra defensive attention. A complete player, he already has a scholarship offer from Washington.

Phil Engebretsen

Enumclaw coach

In his sixth year as Hornets head coach, Engebretsen molded a group without a senior starter into a team that could contend for the Class 3A state championship. Third-ranked Enumclaw (21-1) hopes to improve on 2008's eighth-place finish.
