WesCo 3A | Mountlake Terrace stuns No. 3 Meadowdale
Casey Ellersick scored in overtime, as Mountlake Terrace came back in the second half to upset third-ranked Meadowdale 23-17 in a nonleague football game between two WesCo rivals.

EDMONDS — Mountlake Terrace came back from a 10-point deficit in the second half and stunned third-ranked Meadowdale 23-17 in overtime Friday night at Edmonds Stadium in a nonleague football game between two WesCo teams.
Junior Casey Ellersick rushed for 136 yards and scored twice, including an 18-yard touchdown in overtime, as the previously winless Hawks handed their Edmonds District rivals their first loss.
Terrace (2-1) trailed 17-7 entering the fourth quarter before Ellersick triggered 16 consecutive points with a 1-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Chaz Dalton tied the game with a 42-yard field goal, before Ellersick won it in OT. The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder had 27 carries.
Terrace converted on a key third-and-long situation in overtime to set up the winning score.
"We held in there and gutted it out in OT," said Terrace coach Tony Umayan.
Meadowdale (1-1) of Lynnwood was led by senior Ben Shebly's 135 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. Shebly scored from 1 and 38 yards. Jourdain Henao kicked a 23-yard field goal for a 10-0 halftime lead.
Billy Lechtenberg's 30-yard scoring run helped give Terrace a 7-0 lead.

At Lake Stevens 35, Stanwood 0
Nick Baker passed for three touchdowns in the second half, two to Trevor Riecks, as the No. 10 Vikings pulled away from Stanwood after leading 7-0 at halftime. Baker, a 6-1, 185-pound senior, passed for 316 yards, hitting 21 of 36 attempts, with two interceptions.
Lake Stevens' Bo Dickinson also scored twice, on an 80-yard punt return in the second quarter, and on a 3-yard run in the third, but left in that period because of an injury.

Glacier Peak 17
At Snohomish, Devin Peterson passed for three touchdowns, including a 19-yarder to Ryan Sterly in the fourth quarter, as the Tomahawks (3-0) stayed unbeaten with a nonleague win over the Grizzlies (0-3). Peterson also passed for TDs of 38 yards to Charles Smalley and 39 yards to Josh Kinard.
First-year Glacier Peak fumbled on the M-P 10 with 50 seconds left. Zach Richter passed for 317 yards and a touchdowns, completing 37 of 47 passes. Luke Westberg had 11 catches for 126 yards.
At Monroe 39, Sedro-Woolley 27
Quarterback Brian Sonneveldt passed for 401 yards and five second-half touchdowns, as the Bearcats (2-1) came back in the second half to beat the Cubs in a nonleague game.
Sonnevedt, a senior, completed 21 of 32 passes. Cody Elledge (four for 160 yards) and Connor Sheldford (five for 82) each caught two for TDs. Monroe trailed 21-6 at halftime, but scored 26 straight points. Austin Bray had 24 carries for 123 rushing yards and one TD.
Shorecrest 28, Snohomish 14
At Shoreline Stadium, Michael Harris ran for 101 yards and two touchdowns, and the Scots (1-2) forced four turnovers to hand the Panthers (1-2) their second consecutive loss in nonleague. Harris, a junior, carried 29 times and scored from 5 and 13 yards.
Shorecrest scored on two of Snohomish's turnovers. Ray Purviance ran for 117 yards and a TD on 17 carries, and Cameron Woolsey scored on a 90-yard TD return for Snohomish.
Edmonds Woodway 40, Lynnwood 0
At Edmonds Stadium, Jimmy Spears scored four touchdowns and rushed for 241 yards as the Warriors (2-1) won a nonleague game. The 150-pound junior carried 23 times.
Din Kuses had three receptions for 106 yards and a TD, and Chris Routen had two sacks and a fumble recovery for Edmonds-Woodway, which held Lynnwood to 80 total yards and rolled up 508.
Oak Harbor 22, Everett 0
At Everett Memorial Field, Everett quarterback Chase Herrick and receiver Jake Frauenholtz connected six times for 132 yards and two touchdowns as the Seagulls cruised in a nonleague game. Everett (2-1) also got 138 yards rushing and a TD from senior running back David Andre.
"Our goal is to be a 50-50 team, run and pass," said Seagulls coach Will Soren.
Frauenholtz, a 6-foot, 195-pound senior, also made an interception on defense, helping Everett hold Oak Harbor scoreless for the first time since Nov. 16, 2002, a 49-0 playoff loss to Mountain View.
The Wildcats (1-2, 1-0) fumbled twice at the Everett 5-yard line and also turned the ball over on downs inside the Seagulls' 10. Oak Harbor, which beat Everett 34-6 last season, only completed four passes for 16 yards Friday.
At Arlington 28, Jackson 22
The unbeaten Eagles (3-0) upset the Timberwolves (2-1) in a WesCo 4A crossover game.
