Abdul Gaddy, an all-state basketball guard from Bellarmine Prep of Tacoma, has recommitted to the University of Arizona after several months of wavering, according to Rivals.com.
The 6-foot-3 senior had also considered UCLA. Gaddy, who averaged 24 points last season, originally committed to Arizona in August 2007. He is ranked 13th overall in the recruiting Class of 2009.
Avery Bradley, a former Bellarmine Prep teammate who is enrolled this year at Findlay Prep of Henderson, Nev., is ranked even higher, at No. 8 overall. Bradley, like Gaddy a 6-3 guard, is considering Texas and UCLA. He averaged 25.7 points and was a second-team all-state pick last season.

Kamiak senior guard Kelsey Patrick has given Pepperdine University a verbal commitment to play women's basketball at the West Coast Conference school in Malibu, Calif.
Patrick, a first-team All-WesCo South selection, averaged 16.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2.2 assists as a junior. She set school records for three-pointers in a season (51) and career (71) for the Knights of Mukilteo.
Tennis coach hired at Prep
Seattle Prep has hired Joseph Jackson as tennis coach to replace Mark Frisby, now coach at Seattle University.
Jackson, who teaches social studies, is from North Carolina, where he was a tennis pro for 10 years. He was tennis coach at Forestview High School in Gastonia, N.C., and won three league titles and one state title. He was league coach of the year four times, according to Seattle Prep athletic director Ed Paulter.
