Erik Pollard, Emerald Ridge: Returned punt, interception each 64 yards for TDs.
Taylor Cox, Jackson: Carried 17 times for 204 yards, scored from 42, 68 yards.

It's been 10 long months since Kennedy's surprising loss to Nathan Hale in a preliminary round of the state playoffs. Today, in the Emerald City Kickoff Classic, the Lancers get to hit someone again. Led by mercurial QB/DB Nolan Washington, 3A Kennedy faces 4A Kentwood at 5:30 p.m. in the fourth of five games at Qwest Field.

Kevin Grady hit a 20-yard field goal with 2 minutes remaining to lead the Panthers to the nonleague win.
For Granite Falls, it was a night of miscues. The Tigers lost six fumbles, had a blocked kick, and three interceptions. One of the fumbles was returned 55 yards by John Green IV for a touchdown in the third quarter.
Seattle Prep's Johnathan Humphrie returned a 94-yard kickoff in the second quarter to give Seattle Prep a 12-6 halftime lead.
Granite Falls took back the lead in the third quarter with a blocked punt recovered in the end zone. Green answered with the touchdown return giving Seattle Prep the 21-14 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Brandon Brown scored late in the fourth quarter to give Granite Falls the lead, until Grady's kick sealed the win for Seattle Prep.
SPSL 3A
Lakes 49, Bonney Lake 0
At Harry Lang Stadium, the sixth-ranked Lancers rolled behind three touchdowns from Willis Wilson and two from Teddy Cotton. Wilson, a junior, had touchdown runs of 16 and 5 yards, and he also caught an 8-yard pass from Dalton Gervais. He finished with 141 yards rushing.
At Franklin Pierce 49, White River 28
Both teams combined for seven touchdowns over 20 yards as the seventh-ranked Franklin Pierce Cardinals held on for the win in an offensive display. Aram Mann led Franklin Pierce with three touchdowns, including a 49-yard reception and a 60-yard fumble return. Brooks Roy rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns, and threw a 53-yard touchdown to Charles McElhanon. Marcus Kaelin threw scoring passes of 39 and 20 yards for White River.
Peninsula 24, Sumner 0
At Sunset Chev Stadium, Peninsula built a 17-0 halftime lead behind a pair long touchdown passes from quarterback JR Grosshans for the SPSL 3A win.
Grosshans, a 6-foot-3 junior, threw for 272 yards and three touchdowns.
Auburn Mountainview 44, Clover Park 20
At Auburn Memorial Stadium, the Lions broke open a close game in the third quarter by scoring 44 unanswered points to roll to the SPSL 3A win. Auburn Mountainview led 7-6 at halftime, but a pair of Clover Park interceptions helped start the Lions' rally.
A pair of Cody McNeil touchdown runs and a pair of big plays by Darius Elliot-Free led the third-quarter rally.
Seamount
Hazen 33, Evergreen 0
At Renton Stadium, James Holland scored on a pair of touchdown runs and Tyler Searles had a pair of scoring receptions to lead the Highlanders. Hazen got on the board early with a 31-yard fumble return for a touchdown by Matt Hu as Hazen built a 26-0 halftime lead.
Lindbergh 33, Highline 3
At Highline Stadium, a pair of touchdown passes from Lindbergh quarterback Jake Allie broke open a scoreless tie in the second quarter as the Eagles cruised to the Seamount League win. Allie ended with four touchdown passes.
Nonleague
Lakeside 42, at Lakewood 32
Both teams combined for 36 points in the fourth quarter, but the Lions from North Seattle ended with the win. Lakeside senior running back Michael Schwartz had 30 carries, 299 yards and three touchdowns. Lakeside finished with 466 yards rushing. Duncan Hussey, a senior running back, had 19 carries and 90 yards with a touchdown.
At Black Hills 43, Nathan Hale 22
Cody Peterson scored four of Black Hills' first five possessions to lead the Wolves to the win. Peterson scored on runs of 39, 56, and 40 yards in the first half and also caught a 45-yard touchdown pass to help Black Hills build a 36-0 halftime lead. Sophomore Taylor Cassell had an 82-yard kickoff return for the Raiders.
Life Christian 38, Cleveland 0
At Seattle Memorial Stadium, Jeff Riegle and Morgan Cox each scored three touchdowns as the Tacoma school won a nonleague opener. Riegle returned a punt 54 yards and caught two touchdown passes from Barrett Schmidke, Cox, who ran for 191 yards and two scores, also caught a 78-yard TD toss from Schmidke.
At King's 51, La Conner 12
Thomas Vincent scored four touchdowns on King's first five possessions to build a 37-0 halftime lead for the Knights. Vincent, a sophomore quarterback, finished with 139 yards rushing and 196 yards passing, and two touchdowns.

• Ronald Baines rushed for 421 yards and five touchdowns in Mount Tahoma's 47-14 victory over Shelton in Tacoma. He scored on runs of 27, 55, 76, 60 and 95 yards.
