Right-hander Nathan Bunch struck out 16 in a one-hitter as Hazen beat visiting Lindbergh 3-0 in a Seamount League baseball game Monday.
Bunch, a 6-foot-3 senior who was an all-league pick last year, allowed only a single and a walk as Hazen (4-1 overall, 4-0) stayed unbeaten in Seamount.
Other baseball
• Lake Washington's Chris Vilitz hit for the cycle, going 4 for 4 with three runs batted in, but his Kangs lost 11-9 to Bothell in KingCo 4A.
• Kennedy sophomore Derrick Lewis struck out 14 in a two-hit, 14-1 victory over Tyee.
Fastpitch
• Redmond turned a triple play in the Mustangs' 1-0 loss to Woodinville. Devan McComb pitched a three-hitter for the Falcons in the matchup of KingCo 4A teams that came into the game 4-0.
• Ingraham's Andrea Woogerd shut out Mercer Island 2-0, striking out 12 in a two-hitter.
• Hillary Barker of Cedarcrest fanned 11 in a one-hit, 2-0 shutout of Granite Falls.
