FEDERAL WAY — Thanks to Andre Barrington and 28 fourth-quarter points, Federal Way is a win from the South Puget Sound League 4A North Division championship.

The junior running back had 294 yards and four touchdowns on 19 carries and added 51 yards receiving and another score, and Federal Way scored the game's final 21 points to beat Decatur 49-33 on Friday night at Federal Way Stadium.

The Eagles (6-1 overall, 5-0 league) have not won a division since 1976. They can clinch with a win over Kentridge on Thursday at Federal Way Stadium.

Chase King had 261 yards and three TDs on 39 carries for Decatur (1-6, 0-5). He also had a 93-yard kickoff return for a TD.

Bethel 40, Graham-Kapowsin 19

At Art Crate Stadium in Spanaway, the Braves (5-2, 3-2) handed the ninth-ranked Eagles (5-2, 4-1) their first South Division loss behind quarterback Oliver Henry's 337 yards passing and Robert Akeo-Orr's 11 catches for 252 yards and two TDs. Graham-Kapowsin's Marcel Smith had for 238 yards and two TDs on 28 carries.

Rogers 42, Curtis 7

At Sparks Stadium in Puyallup, quarterback Tyler Van Sligtenhorst ran for two TDs and passed for another to help lead the Rams (5-2, 4-1) past the Vikings (3-4, 2-3). Van Sligtenhorst did all of his scoring damage in the first half as Rogers, tied for second in the South Division with Puyallup, took a 28-0 lead at the break. Van Sligtenhorst's 31-yard strike to Grant Williams in the first quarter started the scoring.

Kentwood 26, Kent-Meridian 12

At French Field in Kent, the Conquerors (5-2, 4-1) scored 19 consecutive in the second quarter to take control of the North Division game. Arise Gauldin, who had 74 yards on 10 carries, got the scoring started for Kentwood with a 3-yard TD run and Korey Rodriguez added a 2-yard scoring burst. Then quarterback Luke Angevine hit Tyler Weinbrecht for a 23-yard TD pass. Angevine added a 47-yard TD pass to Danny Bounds in the third quarter. Rodriguez finished with 85 yards on 12 carries. Jesse Earle had both TDs for the Royals (3-4, 2-3), on runs of 1 and 3 yards.

At Auburn Memorial Stadium, T.J. Gilmore's 20-yard TD run in the first quarter held up as the Lions (4-3, 2-3) forced the Hornets (1-6, 1-4) into nine turnovers — five interceptions and four fumbles. Matt Malkowitz and Darius Elliott-Free each had two interceptions.

At Franklin Pierce, 49

Auburn Riverside 12

Max Lutton had 145 yards and two TDs on five catches as the sixth-ranked Cardinals (7-0, 5-0) rolled past the Ravens (4-3, 3-2).
