Patrick Rooney , Sammamish football
Rooney, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound senior quarterback, completed 27 of 48 passes for 323 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Totems to their first win, 37-34 over Lake Washington. His final TD pass with 22 seconds remaining was the seventh lead change and proved to be the winning pass.
Stephanie Jones , Issaquah volleyball
Jones, a 6-foot junior outside hitter, set school records for aces in a match (20, previous record 11) and in a game (12, previous record eight) in a 3-0 win against Liberty. She also had 10 kills, two blocks, three digs and accounted for 32 of the Eagles' 75 points. Jones followed with 10 kills, two aces, two blocks and seven digs in a loss to Mercer Island.
Bellevue boys tennis team
The Wolverines, coached by Eric McDowell, beat Mercer Island for the first time since 1992 by winning the final two doubles matches in a 5-4 victory. Bellevue followed with a 7-2 win against Skyline to improve to 5-1.
