Eastside prep stars of the week

Helen Liu, Issaquah girls swimming

Liu, a freshman, posted three state-qualifying times in her first high-school meet, a 116-70 win over Liberty. She recorded state times in the 200-yard individual medley (2 minutes, 17.37 seconds), 100 backstroke (1:03.34) and 200 medley relay (1:56.51), and also swam on the winning 400 free relay.

Justin Kim, Lake Washington football

The 6-foot, 190-pound senior gained a school-record 360 yards on 20 carries and scored four touchdowns in a 27-9 win over Juanita. Kim, averaging 218.5 yards in four games, scored on runs of 62, 55, 25 and 26 yards. The state rushing record is 471 yards.

Cedarcrest girls soccer team

The Red Wolves, coached by Greg Anderson, beat Lakewood 4-0 and South Whidbey 4-1 to remain the only unbeaten team in the Cascade Conference. Cedarcrest (6-0 overall, 4-0 league) has outscored opponents 21-4.
