Eastside stars of the Week
Ryan Dolbow, Bellevue Boys golf
Dolbow, a junior, followed his 3-under par 69 with a 2-under 70 for a 139 total to claim the Class 3A state championship at The Creek at Qualchan Golf Course in Spokane. After finishing second by one stroke in last year's state tournament, Dolbow won this year's event by the same margin, sinking a 3-foot putt on the final hole.
Jane Larson, Cedar Park Christian Girls track and field
Larson, a junior, captured Class 1A state titles in the 1,600 (5 minutes, 4.89 seconds) and 3,200 meters (11:28.44) for the third consecutive year. She also ran the anchor on the winning 1,600 relay (4:05.27).
Woodinville softball team
The Falcons, coached by Jim Weir, beat Prairie 7-1 to win their first Class 4A state title and cap a 27-0 season. Woodinville edged Shadle Park 2-1 in the semifinal game, scoring both runs in the bottom of the first inning off Caitlin Walker's two-out push bunt.
Stars of the week are selected by Times staff and published Tuesdays, but can be chosen only once each sports season.
