Enumclaw athletic director Kevin Smith announced Thursday that the school has hired Ted Carlson to coach the boys basketball team on an interim basis for the 2010-11 school year. Carlson replaces Phil Engebretsen, who resigned after leading the Hornets to the Class 3A state championship game.
