Golf season in the Northwest kicks off Friday when the three-day Seattle Golf and Travel Show begins at the CenturyLink Field Events Center.

It is the largest consumer show of its kind on the West Coast, with more than 200 exhibitors and manufacturer representatives.

There will be a "Try-and-Buy Demo Zone" for golfers to test equipment; a putting contest; free five-minute lessons; and a Kid's Zone.

The show is open noon to 6 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Adults are $14, youth 13-17 are $5, and kids 12 and under are free.

The price of admission includes a free round of golf at one of six courses, two magazine subscriptions and a two-for-one offer to the Boeing Classic.
