Four days after announcing that Sahalee Country Club on the Sammamish Plateau won't host the 2010 PGA Championship, the PGA of America has awarded the tournament to Whistling Straits of Kohler, Wis.

Whistling Straits also was awarded the 2015 PGA Championship as well as the 2020 Ryder Cup.

Jim Awtrey, chief executive officer of the Florida-based PGA of America, said last week that it was looking at Sahalee as a possible site between 2012 and 2015. Yesterday's announcement narrowed that window to 2012, 2013 and 2014.
