Recipe: Simple Ginger Tea

Makes 4 servings

2 cups unsweetened brewed black tea, chilled

1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

¼ cup superfine sugar (see Kitchen Note*)

2 cups ginger ale, chilled (see Kitchen Note**)

Optional: Orange or lemon slices for garnish

1. Blend brewed tea, orange juice, lemon juice and sugar together in a 2-quart pitcher. Mix well, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Slowly pour in the ginger ale and stir to combine.

2. Serve immediately over ice, garnish with orange or lemon slices if using.

Kitchen Notes:

* Honey or agave nectar can also be used as a substitute

for the superfine sugar. Sweeten each glass to taste.

** If possible use a good quality Jamaican ginger ale.

Thomas Kemper Ginger Ale is another good choice.
