Recipe: Blue Cheese Dressing

Makes 1 2/3 cups dressing

2/3 cup crumbled blue cheese

1 cup mayonnaise

½ cup sour cream

3 tablespoons milk

2 teaspoons lemon juice

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Pinch cayenne pepper

Optional: ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Freshly ground black pepper

1. Mash blue cheese with some of the mayonnaise until well blended. Transfer to a food processor or blender.

2. Add remaining mayonnaise with sour cream, milk, lemon juice, mustard, cayenne, optional garlic powder and pepper. Blend until smooth. Transfer to a bowl or jar, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. The dressing will keep 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
