"Ugly Betty's" nephew
Who can't stop saluting "Ugly Betty" for its homage to working-class Latinos as well as to ambitious, intelligent women who come with curves? But it's Justin Suarez (Mark Indelicato), Betty's 12-year-old nephew, who charms with his wit, sass and fashion-saturated brain. Sexually-ambiguous Justin — gay/straight? — is so beyond-the-sitcom box he adds even more luster to this show. !Que chévere! (See "Ugly Betty" at 8 p.m. Thursdays on KOMO-TV. Past episodes at www.abc.com.)

Cocktails
Fee Brothers bitters
Better bartenders — Murr the Blur at Zig Zag, Joe the Publican at Whitehorse Trading Co. — are reaching for the Fee Brothers bitters, whose bark is as good as its bite. Me? I put the men in my Manhattan at home, scoring Fee Brothers Old Fashioned Aromatic Bitters ($4.99) at DeLaurenti Specialty Food & Wine (1435 First Ave., Seattle, 206-622-0141; delaurenti.com).

DVDs
"The Fabulous Baker Boys"
![]()
"Another bride ... another June ... " Ever since I heard about the DVD re-release of "The Fabulous Baker Boys" last week, I've been humming that tune — and remembering how perfectly Steve Kloves' 1989 film captured the allure of Seattle's sparkling-wet downtown streets at night, Jeff Bridges' melancholy smile and Michelle Pfeiffer's languorous crooning from atop a piano. "Another sunny honeymoooon ... ." (Now on DVD, rated R).
