HAVANA —

Several leading members of Russia's famed Bolshoi ballet will perform with their Cuban counterparts during a visit to Havana next week.

Cuba's state-run media says it will be the first time in three decades that the renowned troupe performs on the island.

The Communist party daily Granma reported Sunday that the performance will take place next Saturday during Havana's international book fair, which this year is being sponsored by Russia.

The dancers, including Elena Andrienko, Ruslan Skvorsto, Ana Antonicheva and Dimitri Belogolovstsev, will be directed by Alicia Alonso, the 89-year-old grande dame of Cuban dance.

The Cuban-Russian performance will include scenes from such classics as "Swan Lake," "Giselle" and "Carmen."
