Freeloader alert: Ikea replays free breakfast offer
Ikea closes its big sale by renewing its free breakfast offer, Jan. 9 and 10. And Preet's, an Indian restaurant in Redmond, is offering complimentary cups of chai. Seattle Times Freeloader: When cheap isn't cheap enough.
If you missed the free breakfasts at Ikea over the holidays, you now have another chance: Help yourself to one small breakfast and one small cup of coffee this Saturday or Sunday, between 10 and 11 a.m. One of each per customer, please.
Ikea is located at 601 S.W. 41st St. in Renton; 425-656-2980 or www.ikea.com. The home furnishings store has been offering some goods at a 20 to 60 percent discount since Dec. 18, but the sale ends Sunday. Go to the Web site before you go to view one-day-only specials.
Try chai at Preet's
Help yourself to a nice hot cup of chai at Preet's in Redmond, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays.
The timing nicely coincides with lunchtime, and once you get a whiff of the restaurant's Indian delicacies, you'll be tempted to stick around and graze on the $8 all-you-can-eat lunch buffet. But no purchase is necessary.
Preet's is located at 8440 160th Ave. N.E., Redmond; 425-867-9400 or www.preets.com.
