Star bartender Jamie Boudreau leaves Tini Bigs

Star bartender Jamie Boudreau has resigned from Tini Bigs in Seattle's Queen Anne.

Jamie Boudreau, one of Seattle's biggest names in mixology, on Monday resigned from Tini Bigs Lounge in Queen Anne.

The decision has been a long time coming for one of the area's brightest stars who has been working with investors to get his own bar in the area. Last week, Boudreau said the opening of his own cocktail lounge is not imminent given the economic climate. But he still plans to stay in Seattle, where he is a local representative for St Germain, a popular elderflower liqueur. One of the region's biggest names in molecular mixology, Boudreau is also a sought-after speaker in the bartending profession.

In 2000, Boudreau made his name at Lumière in Vancouver, B.C., and was later lured by investors to come to Seattle and run Vessel, the swanky cocktail lounge downtown. Last year, Boudreau left Vessel after a split in management and later joined Tini Bigs.
