Mandy Greer
Looking for a summertime oasis? Look up near Polliwog Pond in West Seattle's Camp Long, as fiber artist Mandy Greer's "Mater Matrix Mother and Medium," a 200-foot-long crocheted river, takes shape above your head. It's tied into the trees, and Greer will add a little more each day through July 9. The dazzling, multicolored work will remain on view through July 31, 5200 35th Ave. S.W. (206-684-7434).

Food
Wilridge Winery
The best neighborhood wine party is back. Did we mention it's free? On Wednesday, Madrona's Wilridge Winery will open its garage and allow the public to sample its acclaimed rose and other wines. The annual party has become so popular that it has spilled to neighborhood streets, with boutiques and restaurants staying open late. Think of it as a block party/art walk. 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, 1416 34th Ave., Seattle; call 206-325-3051 for details.
