Tow trucks on parade: 292 tow trucks rumbled through New York City on Saturday in an attempt to smash the world record for the largest parade of its kind. The trucks started at Shea Stadium and cruised down a couple of highways before finishing at an abandoned airport tarmac to spell out "New York." Guinness World Record officials were on hand. The previous record, 83 tow trucks, was set in 2004 in Wenatchee.

Husband Tom Cruise was on hand to greet patrons and had no trouble ignoring the anti-Scientology, which accused his religion of brainwashing Holmes.
