Aerosmith's Tyler goes to rehab

Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler, 60, checked himself into Las Encinas Hospital's rehab clinic in Pasadena, Calif., for treatment of an unspecified substance-abuse problem. The clinic is featured in "Celebrity Rehab," the reality show hosted by Dr. David Drew Pinsky. Reps for Tyler — who is father to Liv Tyler — had no comment.
McDermott, wife to split
Actor Dylan McDermott, 46, has filed for divorce from wife Shiva Rose after more than 12 years of marriage, court records show. McDermott filed a petition for dissolution of marriage in Los Angels Superior Court Friday citing irreconcilable differences, according to court records obtained by CelebTV.com. McDermott, the former star of "The Practice," and Rose, an actress, have two daughters together. They separated more than a year ago, according to court documents.
More eye surgery
New York Gov. David Paterson, 54, will undergo more laser surgery today on his right eye, after receiving similar treatment on his left eye Tuesday, his spokesman said. He was briefly hospitalized Tuesday and diagnosed with acute glaucoma in his left eye. Doctors at Mount Sinai Hospital performed an iridotomy to relieve pressure within the eye. Doctors said the glaucoma was likely to occur in the right eye. Paterson is blind in his left eye and can see only colors and large objects out of his right.
Legion of Honor
Steven Spielberg is now an officer in the French Legion of Honor. President Nicolas Sarkozy said the honor, one of the country's highest awards, was prompted by the filmmaker's work on documenting the Holocaust and his efforts to help the war-wracked Darfur region of Sudan.

Akshay Rajagopal, 11, won the 20th annual National Geographic Bee on Wednesday in Washington by correctly answering Bolivia to the question: Cochabamba is the third-largest conurbation in what country? The sixth-grader at Lux Middle School in Lincoln, Neb., won a $25,000 scholarship. A conurbation is a large, densely populated urban area.
