Kid Rock arrested
Celebrity gossip, famous birthdays and other tidbits, compiled from Seattle Times news services.
Musician Kid Rock was arrested Sunday after a fight in a restaurant in Atlanta, police said. DeKalb County police said they arrested Rock, 36, and five members of his entourage at 5:15 a.m. after an argument with a man who entered the Waffle House escalated into a fight.
Rock, who had given a concert in Atlanta earlier in the evening, left the scene on his tour bus after the fight, police said. He was stopped and arrested about a mile down the road and later released on bond.
Rock scored the first No. 1 album of his career Wednesday with "Rock 'n' Roll Jesus."
Temporary custody
Britney Spears has regained temporary visitation rights of her sons, her attorney said Sunday. She was seen driving with the boys, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, on Saturday in the San Fernando Valley, People magazine said.
A presumed court-appointed monitor was in the passenger seat of the Mercedes convertible, and the boys were in the back seat, the magazine said on its Web site.
Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon had told Spears on Wednesday that she could not visit her children without a parenting coach present until she complies with a court order for random weekly drug testing. A hearing on the matter is set for Friday.
Singer ill
Porter Wagoner has lung cancer and remains hospitalized in serious condition, a publicist for the country singer said Saturday. His Nashville publicist, Darlene Bieber, said she had no further information about his condition. The 80-year-old singer in May celebrated his 50th year at the Grand Ole Opry, the long-running live country-music show.

Crocs gone wild
Marksmen cruised rivers in northeastern Thailand on Sunday hunting for 11 crocodiles missing from a farm during floods last week. A total of 34 escaped the farm in Nakorn Ratchasima province — where they were being raised for their meat and skins — on Wednesday, but the rest have been shot and killed, said Suwira Phonkoh, a local official.

Many people have been evacuated because of the flooding, but authorities warned remaining residents about the crocodiles, some of which are 20 feet long. Experts from a Bangkok zoo have been asked to help in the search.
