A&E briefs | Cast of "Young Frankenstein" announced

"Frankenstein" cast includes comics

The Paramount Theatre has finalized casting for the new Mel Brooks musical, "Young Frankenstein," which debuts in Seattle this August before heading to Broadway. And the show (based on the Brooks film of the same title) will be packed with award-winning comic performers.

The title role of will be filled by Roger Bart, a Tony award-winner for his turn as Snoopy in a revival of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown."

The cast will also include Megan Mullally (of TV's "Will and Grace"), Tony honoree (for "Thoroughly Modern Millie") Sutton Foster, and playing the monster, Shuler Hensley (another Tony recipient, for his Judd in an "Oklahoma!" revival).
