A 4-day arts festival — plus a nice drive

If you've got a hankering for twangy country, swingin' blues and good old-fashioned rock 'n' roll, this four-day festival might be just the thing.

Juan de Fuca Festival of the Arts, 5:30-9:15 p.m. today, 11 a.m.-10:15 p.m. Saturday, 11:30 a.m.-9:15 p.m. Sunday, 10:30 a.m.-6:45 p.m. Monday, Port Angeles; $12-$13/day, ages 12 and younger; free (360-457-5411 or www.jffa.org).

If you're in Seattle this weekend, then the Northwest Folklife Festival or the Seattle International Film Festival are the places to be.

If you're not in Seattle? Try Port Angeles, where the Juan de Fuca Festival of the Arts takes place this weekend. If you've got a hankering for twangy country, swingin' blues and good old-fashioned rock 'n' roll, this four-day festival might be just the thing. Six stages will feature more than 125 acts. Performances will range from Celtic ditties to Middle Eastern jams, from children's theater to belly dancing, from yoga workshops to sing-along campfire tunes.

Mimes, clowns, comics and magicians will fill in where the music leaves off.
