Since he has missed the last several shows, including last week's Modest Mouse appearance on "Late Show With David Letterman," rumors have been floating that bass player Eric Judy is no longer in the band.

Not so, says MM publicist Lisa Markowitz. "He's still in the band; he's just dealing with some family issues. He'll be back soon."

Meanwhile, the new Modest Mouse album "We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank" has sold around 400,000 copies, closing in on the "gold" mark of 500,000. Modest Mouse has a few more American shows this month, then sails off for a European tour.
